Full Circle

Of the 100 billion garments produced each year, 92 million tonnes end up in landfills. To put things in perspective, this means that the equivalent of a rubbish truck full of clothes ends up on landfill sites every second. The fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global water pollution and over 3% of global co2 emissions. We at Full Circle believe all clothing have a second life. Full Circle is the story of waste fabric put to delightful use and of bringing conscious awareness towards the environment. We recycle textile waste to create sustainable materials and handcrafted products.

We employ female artisans, lovingly called ‘behens’, who have primarily taken on the role of a home-maker and hence are unable to leave their homes for a regular 9-5 job. These women are not only in need of funds to make ends meet, but also want to work as they have the skillset and work ethic. We provide a flexible work system that allows them to attend to their household needs as well as earn an income in those of hours of the day most convenient to them.

Artisans we employ and train are girls, women and residents of the local slums of Ahmedabad, empowering hundreds and enabling them to dream of a brighter and happier future for themselves and their families.

The proceeds from the sale of the artwork go towards funding livelihood initiatives at grassroot levels by Dreams Foundation.
